Review: Snow White & Prince "Fairytale Ending"

The last of the releases from the Fall 2012 Releases has arrived at retailers and has already began shipping if it hasn't already arrived on your doorstep.

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the Walt Disney Classics Collection presents the princess who started it all in the arms of her gallant Prince ... Snow White.

Thought this sculpture was a very nice choice to honor the film's milestone anniversary.  You may recall at the height of the pin craze, the Walt Disney Classics Collection had produced pins depicting the Dancing Cinderella & Dancing Aurora sculptures and a pin of the Prince holding Snow White.  I was always surprised they never did a sculpture in that same pose .. until now.

I really like the sense of movement in this piece, in the way the Prince is lifting Snow White in his arms and you can see that within the way the folds of her dress are depicted.  I also like how her face was sculpted, capturing that cherubic quality of hers.

To get an idea of scale, I have mine displayed with Snow White on Horse with Prince (2003 Numbered Limited Edition), the Wishing Well (1999 Open Edition) and Dopey (2009 Membership Gift).

'Fairytale Ending' sculpted by Dusty Horner (plussed with pewter legs and sword) is a Numbered Limited Edition (NLE) of 750 and features the 20th Anniversary backstamp.

Thank you for posting all the images! I cannot wait until mine arrives! I bet the pictures don't do the piece justice, so just like the Three Caballeros piece earlier this year I'll (patiently) wait.

Is it here yet?

You're Welcome Tim!

The pictures I took absolutely do not give the sculpture justice. It's such an amazing sculpture .. Dusty hit another home run! This piece just might be my favorite Snow White sculpture in the collection!

Look forward to your review when yours arrives.
