Celebrate Goofy's 75th Anniversary: Goofy & Wilbur!

Goofy celebrates his 75th Anniversary this year and in his honor, the Walt Disney Classics Collection is releasing a Numbered Limited Edition (NLE) that also marks the debut of Wilbur, his grasshopper friend.

Goofy and Wilbur ("Fishing Follies") is a Numbered Limited Edition (NLE) of 1,000 sculpted by Bruce Lau. This irresistible sculpture is plussed with pewter, brass wire and a bronze Wilbur.

This sculpture salutes Goofy's first starring cartoon, Walt Disney's animated short, Goofy and Wilbur and bears a 75th Anniversary Backstamp in honor of Goofy's 75th. However it is not the animated short's 75th. This short was chosen to honor his birthday because it was his first starring role.

Awesome piece! I'd definitely consider getting it.

The only thing that really bother's me is Goofy's eyes. They're a little too square & he's a little wall-eyed, but other than that it's a swell piece.

First impression, really like this sculpture a lot (and that is saying something considering I'm not a big Goofy fan).

Are you seeing both the square and wall-eyed look in both angles? Since I never followed Goofy closely, not something I would have picked up on.

I like this piece and will definitely get it, but will probably wait a bit. I like the Goofy skiing piece better though. The sculptures always look better in person. It's a very strong piece and adds another character (albeit small) to the collection.
