Wish List Sculpture Unveiled-Pirate on Cannon!

Registered guests of the Pirates of the Caribbean Adventures on the 7 Seas Lagoon will have first opportunity to make Wish List requests for Pirate on the Cannon (Mr. Coote): "Peligro, Explosivos!"

This arsenal scene with the Pirate on Cannon (Mr. Coote) appears at Disneyland® Park and some other Pirates of the Caribbean attractions at other Disney Theme Parks around the world, but not at WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort.

The Pirate on Cannon (9 ½" Height x 13" Length x 8" Base Width) with a SRP of $350.00 US is sculpted by Ruben Procopio. This is Ruben's 3rd Release in the Pirates of the Caribbean Series.

Ruben was also the Concept Artist on Pirates with Pigs, Pirate on Archway Bridge and the Pirate on Cannon. He is also the Concept Artist on the upcoming Jail Scene with Dog, sculpted by Tim Bruckner.

Wow, what a fun a huge piece!

Will they make the other pirate sitting on the barrel shooting back? How big is the edition size? Will this have a special backstamp?

So many questions!

Hi Tim,

Got some answers for you.

Will they make the other pirate sitting on the barrel shooting back?

No plans at this time to release Billie How (the pirate shooting the pistol on the other side of the canal) but wondering if collectors express enough interest if there is always a possibility?

How big is the edition size?

Numbered Limited Edition of 500.

Will this have a special backstamp?

Yes, will either be the event logo backstamp or the skull and crossed swords logo backstamp. WALT DISNEY WORLD® will be providing input on this selection as well and will advise when finalized.

Wow, thanks for the information. Let's hope that collectors express interest in Billie How. I think that would really make the scene.

It would be great if they offer some of sketches Marc Davis did that inspired these pieces. Love to display them together. I remember buying post cards like those when I was a kid. Wish I could find them!

Since they are doing such a great job with the Park pieces, I'm hoping we see the Tiki Room and Splash Mountain, too! :-)
