One of the best Fantasia releases yet!
I'll want to display this in front of a mirror so that I can always see the orange baby behind the mother. The babies are so cute and the mother is beautiful... the expression in her eyes is wonderful.
I love the composition on this piece. Thank you WDCC!
More Fantasia is ALWAYS welcome! I just have to be greedy and ask for more. Would love to see Snowflake Fairies, Arabian Fish, Russian Dancers, Nubian Centaurette, lots more that can be done!
Very nice piece. Very artfully created. Something Fantasia fans will love.
I will also agree that more Fantasia is NEVER a bad thing. I too am WAITING for and WANTING the Russian Dance flowers. My most desired pieces for the WDCC to do. Now I'm just waiting for the WDCC to hear me. ;-)
Matthew and Greg,
Very nicely done piece, like the sense of movement in this piece with the baby pegasi landing, ready to take off, etc.
I never had an affinity for the film, relating what WDCC pieces I had to the fun memories of playing Fantasia Golf at Walt Disney World with family and friends.
Through knowing both of you, have a new appreciation for the film and enjoy our discussions on what more they could do from this film. Some really amazing pieces have come from this film.
Matthew, like your suggestions for future releases. Let's hope Enesco is reading and we'll see them included as future releases!
Hi All,
Update: Two new additional side angles have been added to the presentation page of the Pegasus Family.
Thanks to the WDCC for these extra angles. They really help me appreciate the composition of the piece, including the design of the tree, the poses of the babies (it looks like the pink one is very delicately touching down on the edge of the nest).
Still one of my all-time favorite Fantasia pieces! Can't wait for it to be released.
Hi Matthew,
I too appreciate the additional angles, as not having a store nearby, especially in this sculpt given the positioning of each of the little Pegasi.
I like how Kent gave each little Pegasi their own personality and with these additional angles, noticed like you, it appears the Pink one is touching down and only attached to the sculpt via his one hoof.
I really need to sit down and watch this film again!
