It’s no wonder this madcap monarch is known as King Louie the Most, for he’s the most outrageous animal in the jungle. This kooky orangutan holds crazy court in an ancient temple, where Louie loves to dance up a storm when he’s not lounging on his elaborate throne.
King Louie ("Orangutango-Jango!), sculpted by Patrick Romandy-Simmons is a Numbered Limited Edition (NLE) of 750.
Scheduled for a Spring 2010 release, this irresistible sculpture set is complete with an urn full of jungle delicacies, and plussed with wire, pewter and resin.
Update: Three (3) additional angles (two (2) side view and a back angle) have been added to the presentation page. Please click on King Louie image to view.

This is a great little scene! I love the detail on the throne and the urn filled with fruit!
Patrick did a great job on King Louie!
Awesome piece ! Man JB has had some killer additions this past 2 years!
Matthew and Jimi,
This is my favorite of the new releases! I was highly disappointed in the original King Louie but purchased, thinking a character they may never do again :(
Can't wait to swap out the original with this version. Love King Louie and Patrick did a killer job on the throne.
Only disappointment, like all the releases in this announcement (other than Alice and Jiminy listed with an April 2010 release), information says scheduled for a Spring 2010 release.
I talked with Ray when I saw this and said don't expect to see before April :(
Absolutely love this piece. The detail and King Louie's pose are amazing!
Another home-run piece sculpted by Patrick!
Hi All,
Update: Three new additional angles (two side views and a back view) have been added to the presentation page of King Louie.
The stone finish on the throne is wonderful.
I love King Louie's jolly expression.
Thanks again for all these additional angles. For someone that doesn't have a chance to see most of these pieces in person, they're a BOON!
Hi Matthew,
Mary and I were looking at the additional angles last evening and both agree, this is our favorite of the new releases announced.
I really like the detail in his throne and his expression, captures King Louie's personality perfect.
As mentioned earlier, was never a fan of the original release, though I purchased thinking King Louie was a character we were lucky to see done once. Very happy that WDCC gave this character another appearance in the collection and look forward to swapping out my original with this one!
