The Walt Disney Classics Collection announced new releases for Winter 2012!
Three of the four releases are from Disney's animated classic, Cinderella (1950).
Dashing downstairs from her lonely attic room, Cinderella excitedly shows off her pretty party dress, lovingly sewed and stitched together by the loyal mice Jaq and Gus and Cinderella’s other animal friends.
"Isn't it lovely? Do you like it?"sculpted by Dusty Horner is a Numbered Limited Edition (NLE) of 1,500. Cinderella is plussed with pewter legs.

As Cinderella shows off her new party dress, the mistreated scullery maid’s cruel Stepmother Lady Tremaine looks aghast.
"Manipulative Matriarch" sculpted by Patrick Romandy-Simmons is a Numbered Limited Edition (NLE) of 500 and the Villains Series release for 2012.
As lovely as she is kind, Cinderella gracefully models her party dress, handcrafted by her devoted animal friends with care, dedication and love.
The same ingredients went into this exquisite sculpture, as evidenced by the beautiful (in its own right) whiteware version of Cinderella and her dress.
The creation of whiteware is part of the painstaking process in which each Walt Disney Classics Collection piece is crafted.

I do like how for the 20th Anniversary they are adding the piece as part of a progression through the movie :) I was under the impression that these pieces would be for the remainder of this year. However, it seems like they are going to be for 2012. Does this mean the 1st quarter is going to only have 4 pieces... most of them from Cinderella? Will there be any specific mention of the 20th Anniversary (mementos, merchandise) or just pieces being released for 2012.
Hi Justin,
Its my understanding they'll be available the early part of 1st Quarter. I too like the tie-in to the 20th Anniversary and wonder if we'll have any other tie-ins like these to pieces or scenes previously released.
Haven't heard if these will be the only four releases for the quarter or if additional releases will be announced at a later date.
Be watching for a 20th Anniversary sculpture :)
