Review: Naveen on Balcony

The first of the Spring 2011 Releases, Naveen on Balcony from The Princess and The Frog, began to arrive at retailers earlier this week!

A quite simple piece, the expression on Naveen's face is what gives this piece so much charm. His confident, suave attitude was captured so perfectly.  You can almost hear him saying, "Kissing Would be Nice, Yes?" to the lovely Tiana as she gazes upon the Evening Star.

What also impressed me was intricate detail of the railing on the balcony.  From photos, expected something quite flat but was surprised in the texture and detail of the railing and the color palette used for it.  In pictures, it appears black but in person, has a verde patina effect to it.

"Kissing Would be Nice, Yes?" Limited to Production Year 2011 is plussed with ornate pewter replicating the animated classic’s New Orleans style architectural grace, this charming resin balcony detail complete with porcelain frog elegantly compliments dreamy Tiana ("Wishing on the Evening Star"), an Open Edition release that was released in September, 2009.

Below are photos I took of Naveen and Tiana from various angles and different setup possibilities.  Please click on each image for a larger view.  2011 is truly off to a great start!

As I posted in your other thread when Naveen was going to arrive, I just wanted to let everyone know that this is the perfect addition to Tiana. Naveen's expression is priceless. Great addition to the WDCC line. Kudos to the team for taking suggestions from collectors. I love it. Don, the photos are great. Each and every piece coming out has been wonderful. Now I can't wait for Facilier!!
