The Walt Disney Classics Collection is delighted to announce the surprise retirement of two beloved sculpture scenes - the charming Seven Dwarfs Mine Scene from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and the Bambi Winter Scene from Bambi.The complete Mine Scene is retired, Grumpy and Doc (previously suspended in May, 2009) are being honored as a "dry retirement" (meaning stock is no longer available) and quantity on the remaining items is extremely limited!
The Dwarfs Mine Scene was released in August, 2004 and sculpted by Bruce Lau. The Bambi Winter Scene (Bambi, Thumper and Flower), sculpted by Kent Melton was released in November, 2005 and the Base was released in January, 2006.Please contact your authorized dealer for availability.

I have to admit, both of these scenes are wonderful. Bambi is really a favorite in our house. Just love Flower in the burrow and how Bambi and Thumper are integrated in the base. Excellent.
Dwarfs were not much of a surprise with the suspensions that were announced earlier. Hopefully that will lead the way to another dwarfs scene. Seems that they are really popular. Just look how quickly the Dwarfs on Log Signature Series piece sold out.

Was more surprised by the Bambi retirement vs. Snow White, mainly as you said, with the earlier suspension this year.
In both cases, was happy with the initial scene releases from these films, so passed on these.
