Seven Dwarfs Signature Release Sold Out!

Last Friday's Blog Entry, the upcoming Signature Series release for 2009, the Seven Dwarfs from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was put On Alert! Today, the Walt Disney Classics Collection is pleased to announce that they have just SOLD OUT all quantities expected to arrive in the U.S. this fall.

The Dwarfs marching across the log is the Ninth (9th) release in the Signature Series. Plussed with eighteen (18) pieces of pewter for tree roots, six (6) pieces of pewter for pick axes, brass wire lamp handle, one (1) piece glass frame two (2) pieces on the tops of trees are resin. A Numbered Limited Edition (NLE) of 750 it is scheduled for a Fall 2009 release.

One interesting thing to note is the color application -- the sunlight is hitting one side of the Dwarfs and log in the film so the paint technique fired onto the sculpture recreates this shading.

This year's Signature Series release was sculpted by Patrick Romandy-Simmons who also sculpted the First (1st) Signature Series release in 2000, the Numbered Limited Edition (NLE) of 1,937 Soup's On (the lost moment) also from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Please check with your Authorized WDCC Dealer for Availability.

Wow wow wow.
This is such great news. Glad I ordered mine the day after the announcement.
Traci and her team have done an exceptional job. Is this a record that two pieces have been considered sold out prior to the release? Great news for the collection.

I just ordered my piece today! I've been puting it off for awhile since we have NO dealers for the WDCC here in NE FL. I'm giving Gallery of the Lakes a shot as my new dealer, especially since they have the signing for this piece later in the year. Eveyone I talked with there seems to know a lot about the line & they were a pleasure to speak with! A great piece for sure, I can't wait to see it!
