Fall Issue of D23 Magazine Lands!

BURBANK, Calif. – August 2, 2010 – Exclusive interviews with Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, who lead the voice cast in Disney’s Tangled, are among the fantastic features offered in the fall issue of Disney twenty-three magazine, produced by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club.

In this all-new, lavishly produced issue, Moore, Levi and Tangled directors Nathan Greno and Bryan Howard, along with producer Roy Conli, share their stories of this uniquely comic take on the classic tale of Rapunzel. One of Disney’s most acclaimed animators, Glen Keane, also reveals some of the behind-the-scenes secrets of the movie, and shares never-before-seen artwork from the film.

Disney twenty-three’s Fall issue debuts August 2, and will be sent directly to D23 Members. Disney twenty-three is also available at select Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstore locations, online at DisneyStore.com and throughout the Disneyland® and Walt Disney World® Resorts.

But only D23 Members also receive a member-exclusive gift with their copies of Disney twenty-three. D23 created a set of nine patches featuring the original circular Future World logos created for EPCOT Center when it opened in 1982, and members will each randomly receive one of the patches.

The patches accompany an eight-page exploration of Epcot, one of the most challenging theme-park projects ever created by Disney. From its conception as a city of the future to the development and construction of Epcot, Disney twenty-three examines the evolution of Epcot, offering readers exclusive interviews with Disney Legend Marty Sklar and celebrated author Ray Bradbury, whose ideas were key to the creation of this unique park.

Packed with amazing photos and beautiful artwork, the Fall issue of Disney twenty-three also gives readers an incredibly rare opportunity to tour the top-secret hallways of Walt Disney Imagineering in Glendale.

Led by Imagineers Bruce Vaughn, Tony Baxter, Joe Rohde and Kathy Mangum, Disney twenty-three gives readers exclusive previews of such projects as Cars Land and its Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure; the Aulani Resort & Spa in Hawaii; the new Disney Dream cruise ship… and assembles an extraordinary collection of artwork from Imagineering’s history.

Disney twenty-three also looks back at the life, legacy and talents of Fess Parker, remembered best as Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier, but also the guiding force behind an acclaimed Southern California winery.

There’s much more in the Fall issue of Disney twenty-three, including:

· Recipes from top Disney chefs around the world, who offer up delectable dishes from Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland
· The True-Life Adventure of a Jungle Cruise skipper, the first Disney job of Imagineer Jason Surrell
· Tips for creating Disney-style fun this Halloween
· A look back at the creation and premiere of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
