Yzma: Making Her WDCC Debut!

Wild and wacky as well as wicked, Yzma tries hard to be elegant—but somehow she’s prone to slapstick mishaps. This slinky seductress is actually a sorceress and while she plans on poisoning the spoiled young emperor and take over the throne, fate has something else entirely in store.

Making her WDCC debut, from The Emperor's New Groove, Yzma ("Calculating Conspirator") is a Numbered Limited Edition (NLE) of 500. One of Disney’s most hilariously heinous baddies, Yzma is plussed with pewter, resin and a magnet to hold the elaborate headpiece (featuring real feathers) in place.

Sculpted by Patrick Romandy-Simmons, Yzma is slated for a Spring 2010 release.

Update: Two (2) angles (side and back view) have been added. Please click on Yzma image to view.

  2. Very cool details with the eyelashes and the feathers in her headdress. I know a lot of people were asking for Yzma, so I'm very glad she's finally here!

  3. Jimi and Matthew,

Nice to see this film finally represented as part of the Walt Disney Classics Collection.

Very enjoyable film (recall seeing with my nephew when it premiered) with memorable characters.

Patrick did a great job in capturing Yzma in 3D. As much as I like the film and consider Yzma a very well done sculpture, not a film representation I plan for my collection.

  5. Hey BFF,

Still curious how the magnet is going to hold the feather headdress in place. Interesting plussing concept.

  7. I am so happy that you all love Yzma as much I enjoyed sculpting her. I was a huge fan of the late Eartha Kitt and this piece is my little tribute to such a charismatic and distinctive performer.

  8. Hi Patrick,

An amazing tribute to both the character and voice talent of this outrageous character.

Look forward to seeing this one in person as it has some interesting plussing elements to it.

  10. Look at the length of that train... those eyelashes... the headress...

    The detailing is wonderful.

    Great piece, Patrick!

  11. As someone who only collects the Disney Villainesses, I am MORE than excited that Yzma is coming out this year and already have mine on reserve and a place for her in my curio! Now just pop out a Narissa and my collection of Disney's Leading Diva's will be complete! (although I would still like to see ne of Mad Madame Mimm on her own). And by the way, I screamed like a little school girl when I read your initial blog back in December about Yzma's release! And I'm a 31 yo man...lol.

  12. Patrick did an amazing job on Yzma. A great homage to the late Eartha Kitt.

I'd love to see them do something from Enchanted. Just watched the other night and was thinking how Narissa would make an awesome sculpt/addition to the line.

    Welcome to the Blog!
